Sending Knives Back to the Factory?
The best part about Cutco is our famous Forever Warranty. When Cutco says "forever," we literally mean forever. No matter what happens to your Cutco we will fix or replace it for free. Forever. We don't care who you bought it from, who gave it to you, what you did to it or how you broke it. If it's broken, we'll fix it. Melted in the dishwasher? We'll replace it. Babysitter left it on the stove? Brand new Cutco.
Here's how to send your knives back to Cutco Heaven to be resurrected.
Step 1: Box and wrap your Cutco safely so the Post Office man can keep his fingers. You have to put it in a box. Even the dullest Cutco knives are still going to cut stuff, so don't let it be the mailman.
Step 2: Write a Love Letter. That's right. Tell Cutco how much you love your knives. After you've finished with that, include your return address, name, email & phone number. Make sure you take a picture of what you're sending in to Cutco for your own records just in case.
Step 3: Return Shipping can be paid after you get your knives back via invoice or phone payment. Or you can put $9 cash/check/your first born child in the box if you're sending in less than 10 knives. If you're sending 11 or more put $13 in the box or your neighbors cat that keeps pooping in your yard.

The best part about our service and shop events is that all the work is done for you! You bring your knives to us, we sharpen everything! If there's anything that is not able to be serviced up to a quality standard, we will tag, bag, ship and ensure your knives and send them back to the factory for you for free.
How often should I Sharpen my Cutco?
Ah, the most frequently asked question in this business:
The answer is simple. Whenever you want. Cutco is guaranteed forever, which means you will always have the ability to request a free sharpening from your Local Cutco Rep. Cutco dulls so slowly, most people don't realize their knives are actually dull! Cutco recommends sending your Cutco into the factory every 1-2 decades for refurbishing. Most importantly you should have a local rep maintenance your Cutco Knives every 2-3 years.
So what's the difference?
When you send your knives to the factory, it usually means they are beyond sharpening or are broken. At the factory they are either replaced or refurbished. Usually the turn around time on factory sharpening is 2-4 weeks.
Local Sharpening:
If you request a rep to sharpen your Cutco Knives, they will schedule a free appointment and conveniently, will come to you right in your own home. Every rep is certified and trained to service in home and if anything does need to go back to the factory, they will box it up and do all the heavy lifting. All you have to do is drop it off at the post office. During your in home appt your rep will service everything that you own. All your knives will be sharpened to a sharp standard that should last 2-5 years depending on use.
How long does an appointment last?
Most of our reps bring a tent so they can camp out at your house for the weekend.
